Actor Orlando Bloom was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, in recognition of the work made over time to protect the rights of children worldwide.
Aged 32 years, the actor has worked with UNICEF since 2007, when he traveled to Nepal to visit the poor schools. He returned in 2008 to see changes made to improve drinking water quality in this country.
“I look forward to work with UNICEF since they continue to make the world a better place for children,” said the actor for Contactmusic.
Orlando came in the select group of celebrities who are listed as UNICEF ambassadors, next to David Beckham, Shakira, Sir Roger Moore, Mia Farrow or Vanessa Redgrave
