Jamie Oliver – academic results aren’t essential for a successful lifeNovember 2, 2009
Jamie Oliver has vowed after finishing school that he will never read and write anymore, but life made him violate his oath.
The multimillionaire chef sold millions of copies of his cookery books, and is amazed at how things turned out in his life.
“It’s ironic that the one thing I hated I sort of specialize in now. Almost 24 million copies, by someone who swore he’d never ever do any revolting reading and writing when he left school. It’s funny how things work out.”
Jamie doesn’t believe that academic results are essential for a successful life.
“What is education? A lot of things people think you should know. I think if you know what you got and you work, it is key to success in life”, added Oliver.
